We are pleased to announce that Corel is once again supporting user groups and computer clubs . . . and they're coming to Arizona in November!

Are you sometimes frustrated with Microsoft Word?  Does it sometimes give you fits?  Come to the November meeting and learn about Corel's Word Perfect.  WordPerfectÒ Office 12 is a feature-rich, highly compatible office productivity suite. Office 12 has focused on suite wide enhancements compatibility and it makes the leading alternative to MicrosoftÒ Office. Complete with Word Processing, spreadsheet, presentation and address book applications.

The new Workspace Manager lets you easily choose between legacy WordPerfect, WordPerfect 12, WordPerfect Legal and Microsoft Office workspace modes. The Microsoft Office puts WordPerfect Office 12 features, including toolbars, and menu items, exactly where you find would find the Microsoft equivalent. It also applies Microsoft keyboard shortcuts to WordPerfect Office 12 features – allowing you quick access to the tools you need. This will help in the transition from Word to WordPerfect. Did you know that Corel purchased Jasc Software last year?  Jasc was the publisher of the extremely popular Paint Shop Pro.  This program started many years ago as shareware . . . try it before you buy it.  It's now one of the most popular photo editing programs around.

We'll also learn about Corel Photo Album 6 that helps you download and organize your photos.  Photo Album manages your entire collection. Once you install the new Photo Album 6 the program searches your entire computer for photos and automatically organizes them by date they were taken.

Also as soon as you plug your camera or insert a memory card in your card reader, the Corel Photo Downloader gets busy downloading and rotating your photos and then asks what you want it to do next. It will even do back ups with the PhotosafeÔ Backup System. With this system, backing up your photos to a CD or DVD is virtually automatic. With just a few clicks your whole collection can be saved and it will remind you when to create a new backup so even your newest photos are safe. There are many extra features included in this package like Scrapbook templates and PhotoRecovery to help you recover photos accidentally deleted
